Meet Our Founder,
Meg R.N., BSN
Beginning her career as an RN in 2008, Meg specialized in Trauma, Orthopedics, and ICU; mostly caring for patients with acute injuries, head trauma, spinal cord injuries, and acute and chronic pain. After many frustrating years of watching our medical system fail her patients by both over treating with opioids and placing a bandaid on issues with poly-pharmacy, rather than getting to the root cause, she knew she had to find a way to treat people naturally.
Prior to becoming a nurse, Meg suffered from chronic migraines and neck pain stemming from a road bike accident in 2004. She saw countless doctors over the years, all of which were only able to recommend pain medication – which she refused countless times – and physical therapy. Knowing there had to be both a deeper explanation for the pain and a way to get rid of it without pain medication, she continued to suffer while seeking out a better answer. In 2015, after years of searching, a family member sent her an article about anti-inflammatory diets. It only took a bit of research before she decided it was worth a try, and after 8 months of just changing the way she ate, her pain and migraines were gone.

Pain-free and armed with a new found confidence in natural healing, Meg unfortunately suffered a torn labrum in her hip after lifting a patient in 2019. Due to constant pain, the injury left her no longer able to work with patients and in search of a more natural way to both heal her injury and manage pain. Due to the nature of the injury paired with having two young kids at home, surgery wasn’t a viable option. She tried physical therapy, dry needling, acupuncture, and looked into $12,000 platelet rich plasma injections – but all the options presented to her by doctors only offered temporary relief or a huge financial burden.

After months of suffering, a family friend introduced her to the Electro-Equiscope. She was able to fit in 3 treatments during the short time she was in town visiting, and after only a few appointments her average pain level went from a 7 to a 2. She was so blown away with the results that she decided to buy an Electro-Equiscope for herself to continue treatments at home.

Meg soon realized the healing powers of the equiscope, and decided to pair her first hand experience with her years of knowledge as an RN to form Kailani-Wellness. Her goal is to help patients suffering from an array of injuries find healing and pain relief through a natural, non-invasive, medication free therapy, and to avoid surgery, botox and fillers with her micro- current facials.
"Meg’s depth of wellness knowledge, combined with her clinical expertise, creates an atmosphere of trust and openness where more comprehensive healing can take place."
